This weekend, Steve and I are driving down the coast. One of the places we will visit is Big Sur. I’ve heard it is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful beaches in the world! I can’t wait! As I was thinking about how beautiful the California coastline is, it hit me, God views you and I as beautiful as well. He looks with satisfaction and delight at the coastline He created, but He also looks at you and I with utter delight! Mind boggling but true!
You are His one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The Apostle Paul writes, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:10) The Greek word that is translated ‘workmanship” in this verse means poem. You are God’s unique and wonderful poem. You are His artistic expression. Recently, my two little grandsons (21/2 and 3 years0 each colored me a picture. They excitedly brought me their pieces of artwork and I hung them on the fridge. Both continue to check to be sure their artwork is still hanging because they feel so proud of their masterpieces. You and I are God’s masterpieces. You may not always feel beautiful or handsome but, God sees you as stunning!
Whether you are having a “good body day” or a “bad body day” why don’t you take a moment and praise God for creating you just as He did. You might borrow the words of the Psalmist David who wrote, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:13-15)
Don’t forget to stop back on Monday as we begin the biggest most exciting contest I’ve ever run!! Countdown to The 30 Day Praise Challenge! Please help me spread the word to your friends…… you’ll want them to be able to win prizes as well!~
