The Thirty Day Praise Challenge – Take the challenge, change your life!

with 3 Comments

Recently, I’ve been doing the 30 Day Shred workout by Jillian Michaels. I started doing it earlier this month when I was feeling a bit sluggish and I wanted more energy. The promise of the workout is that if you are faithful at doing the 20 minute workout for 30 days your body will shred unwanted fat and you will be fit and toned. It might take me a bit longer to get shredded than 30 days, but at least I’m moving in the right direction.
The same holds true in our spiritual walks. At times our walk might feel sluggish and we might need a faith boost. We also need to shred negative thought patterns, habits, addictions, or any other hindrance to our walk with Christ. One of the most effective ways I have found to both revitalize my walk with God and shred sinful thought patterns or unwanted habits, is to spend time praising God daily. Beginning my day with 20- 30 minutes of praise lifts my focus onto the majestic nature of God. As I praise, the Holy Spirit strengthens my faith and re-energizes my belief in the all sufficiency of Jesus Christ.
I believe in developing a daily habit of praise so strongly, that I am in the process of writing The Thirty Day Praise Challenge. Here on my blog through out the month of November there will be one praise challenge per day. Take the challenge and I believe it will change your life! Don’t take my word for it – try it! As we journey through this challenge together I would love to hear from you so, leave a comment. Okay – Let’s get started.
Psalm 66:1-4 reads, “Shout with joy to God all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious! Say to God, How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you. All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you. They sing praise to your name.” Today’s challenge is for you to spend 20 minutes praising God for all the ways He has blessed your life in the last few weeks. Make a list if you want. You’ll be amazed and refreshed by the many ways God has blessed you! Whenever you are tempted to complain today, instead, thank God for something. It will transform your attitude.

I thank the Lord today for finding your weebsite and reading about you. I have been experiencing a very difficult season. The plus side, is the drawing closer to our Lord and realizing He loves me even though I don’t understand why. I have been learning to thank him and now this 30 day challenge confirms by desire to do so.
