I just love Easter week, don’t you? It’s a great week to focus on Christ’s faithfulness and all that He has accomplished for you and me.
I mean, think about it:
If you need reassurance that He loves you, look to the cross.
If you need a reminder that He’s on your side, look to the cross.
If you need to know for sure that every sin: past, present and future is forgiven, look to the cross.
If you need reassurance that Jesus wins the victory over death, look at His resurrection.
If you need a reminder that hope is alive, look at His resurrection.
If you need to know for sure that He is with you, now and for always, look at His resurrection.
Remember.
When you feel hope is gone, remember.
When you feel forgotten, remember.
When you feel unloved or un-forgiven, remember.
“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred” (I Corinthians 15:3-6).
This week, remember. Take time to focus on His faithfulness. Spend some quiet moments re-reading the story of the death, burial and resurrection. (Matthew 26-28) Ask God to resurrect new hope and purpose in your life as you focus on His faithfulness.
I’d love to hear from you. Leave a comment and tell me, what practices help you to remember? How will you celebrate Christ’s death and resurrection this week?

I will celebrate in remembrance, praise, thankfulness – teaching my granddaughter about His sacrifice for us – most of all, being happy that He did not die needlessly for me because I am a daughter of the King

I have been thinking in the last few days about wanting to cultivate habits of faithfulness, and Jesus is my example. He was faithful, even unto death, and continues to be. I’m so thankful for Jesus’ promise in John 15 and 16, that I can ask for His help to be faithful, He will do it in me, and because of His work, my joy will be complete! He is faithful!
