Day 22 – Countdown to The 30 Day Praise Challenge

with 9 Comments

It’s been a few days since I’ve been able to post here on my blog. The last few days, I’ve been traveling in three different states doing some radio and TV interviews about The 30 Day Praise Challenge.  This morning, I’m back in beautiful Colorado and rose early to see the sunrise over the Lake. It’s good to be home! As I reflect back on the last few days, I am praising God this morning for His Spirit. Any time I felt unclear over the last few days, I whispered a prayer asking for His Spirit to fill me and speak through me. I praised Him that He would give me the words to speak and He did.

Before Jesus left earth for heaven, He promised His disciples that He would leave His Spirit saying, “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever – the Spirit of truth.” He goes on to say, “He lives with you and will be in you!” (John 14:16-17)   I love those words because they remind me that the Spirit of the living God dwells in me and empowers me to do all He calls me to do!  He is my 24/7 journey mate.  What an amazing blessing! We need to remind ourselves, that we are not alone.

This morning, I am giving away 2 copies of The 30 Day Praise Challenge, plus 2 I-tune gift cards tucked in the books. The winners will be able to download some of the songs in the book for free.  The goal is that you will develop  your own praise play list.  But in order to win, you must leave a question. Here is the question, Why are you thankful for the Holy Spirit today?  Leave a comment and I’ll enter your name in the drawing!

I am thankful to have a active and living God who desires to live in me and speak through me! I am thankful that He guides me in a gentle but firm way even though sometimes I feel like kicking and screaming against Him! I am especially thankful for His discernment it difficult and life changing situations! I am especially thankful today that I know I will never walk alone in this life and I can rest in His promise that bad things may happen but He promises to redeem it and I hold fast to this to get me through because I know He sees things that I can’t and that somewhere down the road I will understand why He allowed the pain in the past as well as a body that won’t let me do what I need and want it to do! So today I am praising the Lord because He is with me and I don’t have to worry to walk the steps of a uncertain future alone and that gives me peace!
