Blog Hopping

with No Comments

I was invited, along with several others, to participate in a blog hop. What’s a blog hop? Think old fashion chain letters.  I can hear you groaning, but it’s going to be fun, don’t worry!  Basically, author friends of mine answered ten questions about books they have just released or are ready to release. Julie Carobini started last week and you can read her answers at:   http://www.juliecarobini.blogspot.com  The idea is you can hop from one blog to another to find out the skinny behind some new books coming out or those in the working.

So here we go.  Here are my answers about The 30 Day Praise Challenge.

Ten Interview Questions for The Next Big Thing:

What is the working title of your book?

The 30 Day Praise Challenge (it comes out August 2013)

Where did the idea come from for the book?

13 Years ago when I was just beginning my journey through breast cancer, my mentor challenged me to spend 20 minutes a day praising God. Initially, I thought, “What a dumb idea. I don’t feel like praising God!” But, I decided I had nothing to lose, so I gave it a shot. Learning to intentionally praise God every day changed my life in such extraordinary ways that I decided to challenge others to do the same. I believe taking the 30 day praise challenge will change the life of every reader who accepts the challenge to praise God no matter how many difficulties they are facing.

What genre does your book fall under?

Devotional/ Non-Fiction

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

The 30 Day Praise Challenge is a devotional guide leading women to praise God intentionally for 20 minutes for 30 days.

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

My book will be published and represented by David C Cook publishing.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

About a month and a half.

What other books would you compare this within your genre?

30 Days of Praise by Ruth Myers

Who or What inspired you to write this book?

My mentor, Linda Dillow

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

Life change, a fresh experience of God’s presence, more joy and peace. I am so excited about The 30 Day Praise Challenge!  It is the book of my heart!

I also am looking for 500 women and men who are willing to pray that God will use this book to start revival in the lives on thousands. If you are willing to be one of those prayer partners, please contact me with your mailing address and I will send you a book mark to keep in your Bible to help you remember to pray.
