An Exciting Day!

I’m excited today because we begin the field test for The 30 Day Praise Challenge for Parents! This new praise challenge book is scheduled to be released September 1, 2014!

In my time with the Lord this morning, I read in Nehemiah4:14 (NLT) , “Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!” As I was meditating on that verse I began to think of families. Friend, Satan, the enemy of your soul wants to steal, kill, and destroy your family life. Some of his favorite weapons are fear, doubt, and confusion. We must rise up and fight for our families.  As I was thinking about this the single greatest weapon that I know to use against the enemy is praise!   When we become intentional about praising God, using scripture, the enemy flees! He cannot stand where we are praising the name of Jesus Christ. As one author wrote, “Satan is allergic to praise!” This is why I am in the process of writing The 30 Day Praise Challenge for Parents.

Friend, if you are a parent, why not try lifting a banner of praise over your children. Praise God that He is sovereignly in control of their lives. Praise through the promises of scripture on their behalf. I believe as you do this – you will change and Satan will flee!

Try it today, and let me know how your attitude changed in the process! I’d love to hear from you – so leave a comment!

When praising God for His care of my children I find I also give God my worries. Their problems are no longer mine to fix. Praising God for what He does and can do helps keep me focused on God and not the problems. I know my children our in good hands.

When praising God for the family of adult children He has given to us, I have to realize their lives reflect the many years of praise and prayer. God is still in control and none of my worries and fears change His Will for their walk with Him. Thank you Jesus for being the God of miracles each day. I give my children and their spouses to You–send the Holy Spirit to hold them up.
