As we enter this New Year, dear friends, I want you to know I’m praying for you! I have dedicated this blog post to 5 blessings I am praying for you as you enter 2022. How do I know these are correct prayers to pray for you? They are all based on Scripture. I know I can’t go wrong when I pray Scripture!

A Blessing of His love

May your roots sink down deeply into the rich soil of God’s immeasurable love for you. May you not just know His love in your head but may you feel it in the depths of your soul. May His love overwhelm you and may you know how wide, long, deep, and high the expanse of His love is for you. When you feel rejected by others, may you know you have absolute acceptance with God. May you see how much He treasures you and may you hear Him sing over you. May you feel settled and secure in His love and may you enter each day of 2022 full of hope because You are deeply and categorically loved. May you grow in your intimacy with Christ, enjoying His presence and craving His company  (Ephesians 3:17-19, Zephaniah 3:17).

A Blessing of His Peace

May the Prince of Peace guard your heart and thoughts. May you open your hands and yield every worry and fear to the Almighty One who is able to carry your burdens. May you stand firm against the schemes of the devil as he accuses you and tries to rob you of your peace. May you know that victory in Christ is yours. May you live free from the haunting grip of fear and may you step into each new day filled with courage. May you sense His presence behind you and before you, above you and beneath you (Philippians 4:7, Psalm 55:22, 1 Peter 5:7, Ephesians 6:11).

A Blessing of His Provision

May Jehovah Jireh provide for you every need according to His riches in glory. May your heart overflow with contentment and gratitude as you witness firsthand the goodness and abundance of the Lord’s provision. May you rest free from financial worry, knowing that He Himself promises to provide for all your needs. May your faith grow leaps and bounds as you trust His provision (Genesis 22:14, Philippians 4:19).

A Blessing of Joy

May you live out of an overflow of joy that continually rises up in your hearts because you know the joy-giver. I pray that laughter would replace tears in your life this year and that you would have rich moments of hilarious joy with family and friends. May you understand more fully how the Father’s eyes light up when He sees you, and may His presence fill you with joy indescribable. May you find joy in loving others well this year and may your relationships thrive in ways you never dreamed possible. When sorrow or suffering come, may you find moments of joy as He comforts you and restores your soul (Isaiah 55:12, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

A Blessing of Courage

May you be strong and courageous, not held captive by fear or discouragement. May you bravely step into every opportunity that God opens for you. I pray that you would stand steady in the power of Christ’s righteousness and remain steadfast in your faith. I pray that when anxiety threatens, you would take up the shield of His faithfulness to protect your heart. When panic terrorizes, you may remain confident, knowing that you are hidden under the shelter of His wings and that no evil will befall you. May you enter each new morning without dread or trepidation. May you be as bold as a lion because you know that the Lion of Judah is on your side. May you flourish in confidence and blossom in assurance. May you grow in resiliency as you do all that God has called you to do. May you know for sure that the Holy Spirit is the one who equips and empowers you  (Joshua 1:9, Ephesians 6:16, Psalm 91:5, Proverbs 28:1, John 14:15-18).

Finally, Friends, Happy New Year to Each of You From Our Family to Yours!
