3 Anchors of Hope for Every Day
I pray you had a glorious Easter. We had a wonderful time as a family celebrating our Risen Lord and then enjoying Sunday dinner, complete with an Easter egg hunt. I treasure these amazing times with family—they are so precious to me.
As I’ve been reflecting on this past Lenten season, celebrating the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, hope has been rekindled. I hope the same has happened for you. We, as the people of God, have every reason to experience daily hope!
I realize for many, life feels hard. Stuff happens and life feels dark—but there is always hope! The Apostle Paul, in Romans 8, outlines some concrete reasons we can cling to hope in light of the resurrection.
Why don’t you open your Bible to Romans 8 and highlight these three hope anchors for your soul?

3 Anchors of Hope for Every Day
1. There is no condemnation for you. (Romans 8:1)
Hey, friend, no matter how you’ve blown it, if you have received Christ as your Savior, there is no condemnation for you. The cross took care of all that. All the sins you would ever commit—past, present, and future—have been nailed to Jesus on the cross. This is something we easily forget. I’ve encountered so many who are still living in shame for things they did years ago. Yet God’s Word teaches us that you don’t have to carry shame! Jesus carried it all to the cross. Don’t waste your life living in the pain of the past. There is no condemnation for you, and God’s desire is for you to live in freedom and joy!
2. There is no cessation of the Holy Spirit’s power for you. (Romans 8:5–6)
The Holy Spirit is our ever-present journey mate. Those who set their minds to be governed by the Spirit will enjoy life and peace. They will find that all they need is supplied by Him. Jesus gives the Spirit without limit (John 3:34). The Holy Spirit is always available to empower you to do whatever God calls you to do. Learn the beauty of leaning into Him and surrendering your thought life to Him. Then you will live with hope daily.
3. There is no separation from God’s love. (Romans 8:38)
Daily, you cannot be separated from the love of God. It is constant and present in your life. What a comfort! From the moment you wake in the morning until the moment you fall asleep at night, thank God for His amazing and overwhelming love! He sees you, hears you, knows you, and loves you completely. You are secure in His love, and nothing can separate you from it. Oh, if ever there were a reason for hope—this is it! The love of God surrounds you and holds you tight.
Friend, as we move forward from the glorious celebration of Easter, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust Him. May you overflow with the power of the Holy Spirit. May you rest in God’s perfect love and show His love to others.
Hey, summer is fast approaching, and book clubs are a great way to gather with friends. Why not purchase a copy of Cultivating Deeper Connections in a Lonely World and start a book club this summer? It’s a great book—even for those who don’t yet know Jesus.
